food pantryThis Month the Food Pantry Needs Hygiene products, especially bar soap, canned meats (chili, tuna, spam, etc.) and canned fruit. When you do your shopping, please consider picking up one or more of these items and bring it to the barrel in the Narthex.


Short Term ConfirmationShort Term Adult Confirmation Class -Not exactly confirmation, but a class designed to let you ask the questions you have wanted to ask and discuss what the United Methodist Church is all about. Many people choose to become a member of the United Methodist Church as adults or never had the chance to take a Confirmation Class. This class is designed for you to find out who the United Methodists are and what is our basic core of beliefs. Study book is “Meet the Methodists” We will meet for 8 weeks at 11:00 a.m. in the Teacher’s Lounge. The class will be led by Candy Holsenbeck-Smith, Jerry Rhodes, who have both been a part of Confirmation for many years, and Pastor Melissa. Sign-up on the patio on Sunday mornings. Childcare will be provided at your request.

book club Join the Book Club! - All women of the church are invited to join in this group that meets monthly on the third Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in the Teacher’s Lounge (Small World Office). Each month a different book is read and discussed with different women volunteering to be the discussion leader. This month’s book is “The Faith Club” by Suzanne Ranya Idiby. luncheonChurch Softball Game-Sunday August 29, 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Valencia Meadows Park, 25671 Fedala Road, Santa Clarita, CA 91355. Come join us for a fun filled family softball game and picnic. It is always a fun time for all; young, old or in between, everyone is welcome to play in this non- "just for fun" game. It's a great opportunity to come out and teach your little ones to swing a bat, or to swing for the fences yourself. If softball is not your thing, then pack a picnic basket and come out to cheer on the players. There is always a need for extra ball gloves and bats so bring 'em if you got 'em. Bring a Friend or Neighbor to our Rally Day/Health Fair – on Sunday, September 12, 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on the Church grounds. There will be lots of Free Stuff for everyone. Includes a Blood and Bone Marrow Drive with Free Health Screenings. Watch for more information in the coming weeks!
